♥; touchdown!
i have reached the land Down Under!this is an outdated post, i was just so busy adapting and settling down
(and having fun, poof!)when me and Derek arrived at Adelaide, we went straight to Terence's house in Carrington St. his housemates were so nice and hospitable, i felt so much at home there. Terry was out having his exams, so me and Derek chilled around his place.
when Terry got back i ran straight into his arms and had the best hug i had in months!Saturday was Terry's housemate, Chok Fung's birthday! a few of us drove down to Thorndon Park, Campbelltown for a delicious barbecue.
T-A-S-T-E-Y is the word! imagine, the sweet juicy taste of BBQ and honey flavored chicken wings, marinated overnight, grilled minced kangaroo meat (i know they are adorable, and tastey too!), grilled beef steak and lamb shoulder, baked fish in foil, beef and pork sausages. GOSH! meet Hong Gunn! i called him Chef Gusteau
(see the resemblance?), our dear chef for the day. me and Derek took over later on. such fun!
later on we took a walk in the park. the weather was so sunny yet cooling, we just HAD to take some pictures.
the girls and the guys getting cosy and cuddly!
our dear birthday girl, spoiled with Love.

few days later, Terry brought me and Derek to Glenelg Beach!
it was so cold i was jumping around like a kangaroo. the chilly wind was so strong my teeth were chattering! had to hug them lucky boys tightly to keep myself warm.
seagulls! some girl was chasing the birdies away
(i cropped her annoying figure out from the picture, teehee..)the sun set went 'plop' down the horizon like an egg yolk. lol!
this girl is enjoying the view of the sunset! with a grumbling tummy at 8.30pm.

one fine day, Yong Hwee and Julia brought us to Hahndorf, a German village 45mins drive away from the city.
this is a non-Halal post. if you are Muslim please don't mind the following pictures.
this is 1kg of grilled pork-ribs. the BEST i ever had!
after eating this glorious platter, NOTHING can ever satisfy my appetite. YUM!the German Platter we ordered.
(psst JEN! i still miss your mamma's BIG FAT JUICY GERMAN SAUSAGES that's OOZING with mustard! -inside joke)the Jacqui Attack aftermath.later on, Yong Hwee and Julia decided to get some coffee while me Terry and Derek walked a further 1km to the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm!
pick all you can eat for $3!the happy girl with the red juicy fruits.
she drowned in a sea of strawberry trees!
the smile and the reason to smile! :)
i think i ate about 1kg of strawberries. WOOH!

on Friday Night, Julia the hyper clubbing queen dragged Derek to go CLUBBING!
being a clubbing virgin, Derek had no idea what to wear. after a few hours of shopping at Rundle Mall, we found a gorgeous shirt for him.
he broke his glasses, which was a good thing because he looked better without them. (btw, he cant see without his glasses!)Derek looks so cheeky here! gosh the innocence went POOF.
me, Derek and Ivan. funny guy, so cute and anime-like.
meet my housemates! - Yi Wern, Yong Hwee and Any.the next day we had to wake up early. Yong Hwee invited me and Derek to Glenelg Beach for a picnic with her classmates! it was pure fun.
candid shot. i was in my own world drowned in music and thoughts.
that night was Derek's last night in Adelaide, so we decided to have a scrumptious meal. we headed to Hog's Breath at Chinatown for dinner.
the rib-fanatic before digging in to her SECOND plate of ribs. hoho!
kissing my dinner :D
my camera is busted! goodbye dear Cybershot..... :( i sent it back to Malaysia with Derek to be repaired. sigh. a
ll the more i have to save up for my DSLR now! somebody please hypnotize me to dislike shopping.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TODAY! i went to the Botanic Gardens with my new gang of friends whom i love very much. we're all from different courses-
Law, Mathematical Science, Psychology, Architecture, Arts, Media and International Studies, and Petroleum Geoscience.we skipped orientation and scooted to Woolworth's to get our picnic stuff. we got some cheap baguettes to feed the hungry ducks and birds at the park!
hah hah! i think my hands legs and feet pretty much spoiled the pictures.the ladies under the big shady oak tree.
us, lazing around before the Night Life Tour.

Adelaide is a beautiful place. pretty peaceful and safe. my current obsession is jogging alone in the city :)
here's a picture of my room. it has the view of the state library and arts museum, and
King Edward the 7th's big statue staring right at me when i open the windows.
in case you were wondering what i got for Valentine's Day, here goes! :
BOXES IN BLUE!the lovely pink heart is a farewell gift from Derek; and the lovely teddy bear is from Terry! (his name is Xiong which means Bear in direct translation)wow what a long post. there, i updated my blog!
